Orchid Meadow
草兰香 - Cao Lan Xiang If you know what it feels like to live under a sky that never quite dries, moss climbing the bark, mist sitting in the air long after morning, then you already know the place this tea comes from.
Orchid Meadow grows where two mountains meet, at the junction where spring water runs down and humidity never leaves. For those of us in London, this tea grew up in familiar weather.
Aroma
Lightly roasted asparagus, floral notes, gentle herbs, toffee, cotton candy, and buttered biscuit.
Taste
A gentle bitterness gives way to a bouquet-like floral lift. Water lily and soft orchid are rounded by subtle butteriness and wild honey.
Body
Light to medium-bodied, velvety, with a light astringency along the sides.
Finish
Expansive, floral, cooling. Aftertaste quick, clean, increasingly sweet.
