Lid Rest I - by Muzuri Ware

A small platform, for the lid between brews.

Designed to hold the lid of a teapot, gaiwan, or kettle during brewing, the lid rest gives the vessel a place to rest without dripping water directly onto the tea table.

The form rises from a rounded base into a simple, flat platform, creating a small elevated surface. Its restrained proportions keep the lid raised above the table, while the rounded base gives the piece a grounded, sculptural presence.

Made from wild clay, hand-harvested by Kyri, the stoneware carries a direct trace of the landscape into the tea setting. The material is finished with the same dark, weathered surface found across the Rock collection, with areas of smooth glaze settling into the clay in subtle patches.

A quiet object within the tea ritual, designed for the moment between one pour and the next.

岩 · Rock Collection

Earthy, tactile and grounded. The 岩 Rock collection draws from the rocky character of Yanwu Peak, its stone, texture and mineral presence.
