A vessel for drinking, reimagined for the present.

Thrown on the wheel with a tall, slender form, the cup takes the elevated foot of the classical Chinese tea vessel and gives it a contemporary expression. Its refined stem and sculptural foot draw quietly from the language of cocktail glassware, bringing a sense of lightness and movement to the traditional tea cup.

Finished in a pure misty white glaze, the surface recalls the clouds that gather around Yanwu Peak, soft, shifting and suspended above the mountain.

The contrast between the familiar body and its unexpected foot reflects Yanwu’s approach to tea: rooted in tradition, but open to new forms of drinking, making and gathering.
