Aroma Cup I - Carved Clouds
Clouds Aroma Cup - by Tokocha Studio
A vessel for fragrance, and for drinking.
Inspired by the traditional aroma cup, its elongated form gathers the fragrance of Phoenix Dancong, floral, honeyed and mineral, before each sip.
Hand-carved in stoneware, clouds move quietly across its surface. An interpretation of 雾, the mist of Yanwu Peak: soft, shifting, and never quite still.
Finished with a longan ash glaze, made from the same longan wood ash used in the final stage of roasting our Dancong teas. We brought this ash back from the mountain to become part of the ceramic collection, carrying a trace of the tea-making process from leaf to clay.
Designed to be held directly to the lips, it brings the aromatic character of the tea closer to the drinker, extending the ritual from fragrance to taste.
雾 · Mist Collection
Refined, fluid and smooth. The 雾 Mist collection evokes the softer side of Yanwu Peak, where mountain meets mist.
Tokocha Studio by Fabienne Tjia
Ceramic artist exploring material, touch and ritual. For Yanwu, Fabienne translates traces of the mountain into vessels for tea, working through texture, form and the marks of the hand.
